What a pleasure knowing Al through my father in-law, Joe Schwebach and through the retired dairy group that met two times each year. It is clear Al had a deep interest in the dairy industry through his life and even through his death. The University of Wisconsin-River Falls College of Agriculture Food and Evironmental Sciences (CAFES) students will benefit from his memorials to the Northwest Dairy Tech. Society Scholarship Endowment for years to come. Peace to you Elaine & family.

To the Lonning Family: I am so sorry to hear about Al's passing. I worked with Al back in the 1980's and eventually ended up doing his job at LOL after his replacement retired. There are some tests Al developed that are still being used at LOL. He certianly helped the dairy industry and all those around him. May God help you during your time of healing. Alan Schachtele
