My heart goes out to all of you. It was my honor to have gotten to see the love and family that you all shared with your mother. She truly loved her family without a doubt. She would light up whenever you all were around. I enjoyed the times I was able to sit with her and talk to her about her children and her grandchildren. The pictures on her mirror she would love to tell me who everyone was. She also loved to try to get me to eat her candy. She always thought it was funny when I said no its for you to eat. She told me that her family would bring it for her but they always brought too much. May your family memories and love bring you through these days of sorrow. Hope you are all spending the time needed together remembering the wonderful things "Big Sue" brought to all of your lives. My memories as a neighborhood friend are very vivid. At the forefront are the summers when Sue would be out on the front stoop drinking coffee, barefoot, watching us play, a smile on her face always. Something smelled good on or in the stove and everyone was welcome there whether to swing on the trapeze, pick plums from the tree or play kickball in the side yard. I remember the fun times we had at various holidays when the Holdorfs would visit us and Grandma Conrad in Winona.
