Kenneth L. Mason, age 86 of Eau Claire passed away Sunday morning December 7, 2008 after a short stay at the Clairemont Nursing Home in Eau Claire.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday December 11, 2008 at Fuller Speckien Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire, WI. Pastor Carlton Kangas of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church will officiate. Private Burial will take place at a later time in the West Lawn Cemetery in Augusta. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10 am until the time of services.
Ken was born on February 23, 1922 to Ralph and Lidwina (Meinen) Mason in Eau Claire. He married Yvonne Bethke on November 5, 1945. They were married for 63 years. He was employed at Uniroyal as a supply manager, and he retired in 1985 after 42 years of employment. Ken also enjoyed going to Golden Kiwanis.

Ken served his country in the United States Navy as a photographer. He would often be a passenger on planes taking off and landing on aircraft carriers.
Ken is survived by his wife Yvonne of Eau Claire, his beloved dog " Bud"; four sisters, Vernetta Ortiz, Maxime Hawn, Mary Jane Fisher, and Elizabeth Mueller, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Geraldine Meyer, and a brother, Thomas Mason. |
