Dear Mrs. McDermid, Mary and family, I am sorry for the loss of your husband/father. He was such a kind and thoughtful man. When I would visit the church my mom would always ask, "Did you see the McDermids? They're sitting over there." She knew how much you meant to me. Your warm smiles and conversation always left me with a smile in my heart. I enjoyed my last conversation with Mr. McDermid shortly after he had returned home. One would never had guessed that he wasn't feeling well. As always, he was upbeat and focusing the conversation on me (rather than himself). I am so thankful for that time with him.
