Jerald Arden Olson went to Jesus on October 5, 2008 with his family at his side at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Jerald was born September 15, 1932 in Wessington Springs, South Dakota, the son of Lewis and Clara (Nordrum) Olson. He graduated from Lakeville High in Lakeville, MN in 1950. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the Marine Corps and fought in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in November 1953. Jerald married Madonna "Donna" M. Clemen on June 5, 1955 at St. Louis Church in St. Paul, MN. They had 4 children. |
Jerald worked in sales for 50 years; 15 years with Fuller Brush and 35 years with Pennsylvania Life Insurance.
Jerald spent his retirement years golfing, fishing, hunting and playing many, many card games with family and friends. Jerry was a great husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was well liked by everyone who knew him. Many hearts went with him on October 5, 2008.
Jerry is survived by: his wife, Donna; his children, Cynthia Buysse (Tom), Steven Olson (Pennie), Jerome Olson (Denise), Denise Froelich (Peter); 16 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brother, Lyle Olson (Shirley); brother-in-law, Dale Morton; sister-in-law, Joyce Dunn (Dan); and many nieces and nephews.

Services for Jerry will be at Peace Lutheran Church, 501 E. Fillmore, Eau Claire on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 12 pm. Friends and family may visit at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be on Friday, October 10, 2008 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Wisconsin Right To Life.
