Marvin M. Passow, age 81 of Eau Claire, formerly of New Auburn, went home to his Lord and Savior on April 4, 2008, with his family at his side. He fought a courageous battle with numerous chronic illnesses, most recently, cancer.
 

   Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday April 8, 2008 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 3307 State Street, Eau Claire. Pastor Aaron Mueller will officiate. Committal services will be at 2:00 pm, Tuesday afternoon in the Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington. The American Legion Post #53 will conduct military honors. Friends may call at Fuller Speckien Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Rd., Eau Claire on Monday evening from 4-8 pm and at the church Tuesday morning from 10 am until the time of services.
 
Marvin was born in Buffalo County on December 3, 1926, son of Walter and Olinda (Gross) Passow. He married Jeanne Krause on February 7, 1948 in Buffalo City, WI.
 
Marvin graduated from Cochrane High School in 1944. During his first quarter of college he was drafted into the Navy and served as a signalman on the USS Higbee. He later returned to River Falls State College and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Science, and Agriculture. He taught Agriculture and Science at Gilmanton High School for two years prior to farming in Buffalo County, Alma, WI for 26 years. Marvin and his wife raised and developed a registered Holstein herd during this time. While farming, he held positions and served on numerous boards including: Town of Belvidere Town Clerk, Tri-State Board of Directors, Church Council, Treasurer and Elder, 4-H leader for 14 years, NFO County president, New Auburn Village Treasurer for seven years. Following registered Holstein dispersal in May 1976, Marvin began working procurement for the National Farmer's Organization. Once relocating to New Auburn in 1977, he accepted a position with the dairy regional Chetek and Benoit reloads.
 

 
Marvin is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jeanne, son Kenneth W. (Jean), Watertown, SD, daughters Bonnie Mann, Eau Claire, Faye (Gary) Dinger, Sun Prairie, WI, Geri (Cletus) Wolfe, Colfax, WI, seven beloved grandchildren, Michael Passow, Kristie Passow Stromsness, Jonathan, David, and Matthew Wangerin, Pastor Ryan Wolfe, Tiffany Wolfe Rivera. Ten great grandchildren further survive him. His eleventh great grandchild is due in September. He is also survived by one brother Myron (Phyllis) Passow, Dodge, WI. His parents, one sister, Ruth Ernst, brothers, Hilbert, and Ivan, preceded Marvin in death.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are directed to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Northwest Wisconsin Hospice, 2620 Stein Avenue, Eau Claire, WI 54701, or to the charity of donor's choice.
