Arlene J. Rude, age 82 formerly of Altoona passed
away peacefully at the Syverson Lutheran Home in Eau Claire on
Saturday, August 23, 2008 with her loving children by her side.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday August 27, 2008
at Fuller Speckien Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Rd., Eau
Claire, WI. Pastor Debra Boynton will officiate. Burial will be at
a later date in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire. Friends
may visit at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 10 am until
the time of services.
Arlene daughter of Conrad and Ina (Ryerson) Kling was born June 1,
1926 in Winona, MN. She lived her entire life in the Eau Claire
area, raising her family in Altoona. On June 18, 1950 she married
her best friend Arthur F. Rude. Arlene was a member of ST. John's
Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. |

Arlene had such a passion for dancing, music, camping, and knitting. She and father danced many nights in the living room of their home. She was a devoted loving wife, mother, grandmother and such a friend showing love, strength and compassion to everyone. Arlene is survived by her loving children, sons Thomas Arthur (Marjean) and William James, daughter Connie (Wayne) Roinestad, grandchildren Sarah, Alex, Eric, Leslie, Justin, Mason, Nick, Anna, great granddaughter Emma Vi, life long friend Joan Dubois Anderson and many extended family members. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Arthur, who passed away on September 8, 2000, her parents, Conrad and Ina Kling, brother Roger and sister Melva.
A heartfelt thank you to Dr. P. Macken for his absolute care and compassion along with the entire staff at Luther Hospital and London Road Dialysis for their exceptional devotion to our mother and to the entire staff at M.B. Syverson Lutheran Home, Mother loved you all.
