   Doris Trudell, age 95, of Eau Claire, died December 16,2008. 
 
She was born June 20, 1913 in Benton, Wisconsin, the sixth of seven children of the Rev John and Emily Brown Sainty. She graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1931. After high school, she attended Eau Claire State Teachers College (now UWEC) and after graduating in 1933, accepted a job as a third grade teacher in Florence, Wisconsin.
 
It was in 1934 in Florence that Doris met her husband to be, Edmund Trudell. They were married on July 25, 1936 in Eau Claire and remained so, devoted to one another for 69 years until his death in 2005. Doris and Edmund were active members of the First Congregational Church, joining in 1941.
   

Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was also an accomplished seamstress, knitter, and cook and a member of the Chippewa Valley Technical College Homemakers Club for many years.
 
She is survived by and will be missed dearly by daughters, Mary (Brian) Muenkel of Rogers, Minnesota, Kathryn (Lorne Hillier) Trudell of Madison; son, Richard (Brenda) Trudell of Fox Lake; three grandchildren, Carolyn, Julie, and Steven Muenkel all of Rogers, Minnesota; one step granddaughter, Cassandra Willyard of Brooklyn, New York; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 
 
Besides her husband and parents, Doris was preceded in death by sisters Elsie (George) Shultz, Edna (George) Gygi, and Marjorie (Melvin) Berg and brothers Alfred, Frank, and Norman (Gladys).
 
A memorial service to celebrate Doris' life will be held Monday, January 5 at 11 a.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 310 Broadway St., Eau Claire, Rev. Dr. Mark Pirazinni officiating. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services. A luncheon will follow at the church. 
 
Memorials are preferred to the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
