Jean M. (Blomquist) Boehm


		Jean Marie (Blomquist) Boehm, age 56, of Eau Claire, passed away suddenly Thursday, January 8, 2009. Jean was born August 11, 1952 to Ernest and Bernice (Ruff) Blomquist in Eau Claire. She graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School (1970) and U.W. Eau Claire (1982) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Jean delighted in helping special needs children reach their highest potential. She worked for this cause in Kennewick, Washington for 8 years and in Cochrane/Fountain City, Wisconsin for 2 years. Most recently she worked at Holiday Inn Express.


She was preceded in death by her father, and her ex-husband, DuWayne Boehm. She is survived by: her mother; brother, Gerald (Elle); sister, Debra (Andy) Mellor; niece, Josefa Mellor; nephews, Jason (Andrea), Brandon (Katie) and Nathan Blomquist. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Jean had a special gift for recognizing and celebrating the uniqueness of each person she met. We will miss her generous nature and joyful spirit. Services will be on Monday, January 12, 2009 at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire, at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Russell Kampfer officiating. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to United Cerebral Palsy of West Central WI, 206 Water Street, Eau Claire, WI 54703.
