Maynard D. Brixen, 70, of Eau Claire passed away Friday, May 1, 2009 at home with his family.

Maynard was born January 10, 1939 to Herbert and Helma
Brixen. He enjoyed attending rodeos, horses, camping, the outdoors, and spending time with his dog, Princess, and his family and friends.
Maynard worked for many years as a bricklayer in the Eau Claire area. Maynard and his wife were caring foster parents for over 25 years. He was a positive influence to many foster children who called him "grandpa".
He is survived by his wife Donna, his three sons, Mark (Roxann), Matt
(Trudie), Eddie, and his two daughters, Deb and Mary. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren; Jennifer, Amanda,
Zach, Coty, Brock, Stephanie and Miah, one great-grandson, Carter. Maynard is further survived by his brother, Larry. |

Friends may call Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Rd. Eau Claire, WI from 4-7pm on Tuesday, May 5, 2009. Committal services will be at Lakeview Cemetery on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at 11am.
