   Alberta W Carlson, 93, of Eau Claire passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at the Clairemont Nursing Home.
 
Alberta was born March 26, 1916, in Fall Creek, WI. to Albert and Wilhelmina Carlson. The family moved to Eau Claire shortly after her birth and she has lived here ever since.
 
She graduated from Eau Claire Teachers College in 1938 and taught in the Osseo and Eau Claire school districts for 41 years. She taught Health, English and was a counselor. She also retired as the Dean of Girls at Central Junior High.
 
She is survived by her brother Glenn Carlson of Eau Claire. Her Special friend, Peggy Munden. Her cousins Kenny and Laverne Magnuson, and Patricia Hemple and other cousins.
   

She was a member of St Johns Lutheran Church, Eastern Star and the Wisconsin Retired Educators Association. She enjoyed traveling with her sister Rosamond and friends all over the world. She will be greatly missed.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Rosamond Carlson and her sister-in-law Hermie Carlson.
 
Family and friends may call from 4-7 on Thursday evening at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the church.
 
Funeral services will be at 11:00 Friday, August 21, 2009 at St John's Lutheran Church, 1804 Highland Avenue, Eau Claire with Pastor Karen Hofstad officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery immediately following the service.
