Janet Marie Chalsma, 65, of Eau Claire WI passed away, Wednesday October 21, 2009 at her home under the care of Northwest Wisconsin Home Care. She was surrounded by friends and relatives.

Janet was born March 29, 1944 in La Crosse WI to Lester W and Frances B (Johnson) Nelson. She had a long career working in various aspects of the food industry, which includes St. Francis Hospital, Lakeview Health Center, Western Wisconsin Technical College and Grace
Willowbrook.
Janet is survived by a son, Brian Chalsma and daughter-in-law Teresa of Newport News VA, a daughter Amy Schlieve and son-in-law Nathan of Eau Claire WI, three grandchildren
Carissa, Rachel, and Candice of Newport News, VA. A sister Sherry Pittinger of Anderson SC and a nephew Shawn Pittinger also of Anderson SC as well as many other relative and friends. |

Janet was preceded in death by her husband Robert Chalsma, and her parents Lester and Frances Nelson.
The family would like to thank everyone who cared and prayed for Janet the past few weeks.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 3214 Golf Road in Eau Claire WI. The funeral service will be at 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with visitation one hour prior at church. Pastor David Anderson will be officiating. Interment will be 10 am on Monday, October 26, 2009 at Green Mound Cemetery in Holmen, WI.
