Phyllis was born on August 18, 1914 in Escanaba, Michigan to Henry and Gertrude (Haring) Sharp. She grew up in Marquette, Michigan and moved to Eau Claire in 1940. She was a piano instructor. On August 22, 1946. Phyllis married Oscar Elof Carlson. Oscar passed away in 1951 from Polio. Phyllis remained unwed for 33 years. On November 10, 1984, she married Ivan Chamberlain. Phyllis was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Phyllis is survived by her son, Larry Carlson of Crystal, Minnesota, a daughter, Mrs. Eunice (Tom) Allison of Madison, WI, a grandson, Mr. Timothy (Angela) Lawton, two
great grandsons, Quinton and Zachary Lawton. She is further survived by two step-daughters, two step-sons, and a number of step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, second husband, Ivan Chamberlain, sisters, Marjory Douma and Dorothy Hampton.
