Phyllis L. Chamberlain


		Phyllis Lorraine Chamberlain (Carlson), age 94 of Eau Claire passed away Sunday morning June 14, 2009 at the Syverson Lutheran Home in Eau Claire. Funeral Services will take place at 11 am on Friday June 19, 2009 at Calvary Baptist Church located at 1805 Goff Avenue, Eau Claire, WI. Pastors John D. van Gorkom and Ralph Miller will officiate. Burial will immediately follow services in Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire. Friends may call at Fuller Speckien Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire, WI on Thursday evening June 18, 2009 from 5-8 pm and at the church Friday morning from 10 am until the time of services.


Phyllis was born on August 18, 1914 in Escanaba, Michigan to Henry and Gertrude (Haring) Sharp. She grew up in Marquette, Michigan and moved to Eau Claire in 1940. She was a piano instructor. On August 22, 1946. Phyllis married Oscar Elof Carlson. Oscar passed away in 1951 from Polio. Phyllis remained unwed for 33 years. On November 10, 1984, she married Ivan Chamberlain. Phyllis was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Phyllis is survived by her son, Larry Carlson of Crystal, Minnesota, a daughter, Mrs. Eunice (Tom) Allison of Madison, WI, a grandson, Mr. Timothy (Angela) Lawton, two great grandsons, Quinton and Zachary Lawton. She is further survived by two step-daughters, two step-sons, and a number of step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, second husband, Ivan Chamberlain, sisters, Marjory Douma and Dorothy Hampton. Friends may offer condolences online at www.fullerspeckien.com.
