| George E. Dale, age 92, of Eau Claire, died November 16, 2009 at The Clairemont Nursing Home in Eau Claire, WI. George was born on December 6, 1916 in Minneapolis. He graduated from South High in Minneapolis in 1935 and married his high school sweetheart, Ragna Wick, in 1941. |

They lived happily for 68 years. He served in the US Army Air Force from 1941-1945. George and Ragna moved from Minneapolis to Eau Claire, WI in 1947. George owned the Dale Tile Co. in Eau Claire until 1963 and was a life member of BAC local #19. After that he owned and retired from Dale Standard Oil Carwash, which was the first automatic car wash in Eau Claire. George was a longtime member of Hillcrest Country Club and a past Exalted Ruler of Elks Lodge 402 in Eau Claire.
George was preceded in death by sons, Gerald and Gordon Dale; and brothers, William, Arthur and Gordon Dale. He is survived by his wife,
Ragna; children, Georgia (Jack) Becker of Mpls., MN, Margaret Nyman of Lancaster, CA, Roger (Jane) Dale of Eau Claire, WI, Stanley (Kris) Dale of Farmington, MN, and Richard (Jeri) Dale of Sheboygan, WI; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Kenneth (June) Dale of Marco Island, FL. |
