Fischer, Marvin W. "Bud", age 88, of Chippewa Falls, passed away Monday, February 2, 2009 at Oakwood Villa Nursing Home in Altoona.
Bud was born on August 20, 1920 in Eau Claire. He married JoAnn Taerud on June 11, 1943 in Eau Claire. He worked for Briggs Trucking Co. and was an active member of the Teamster's Union.
Bud was proud to be an original member of the Chippewa Fire District, which started in 1977. He loved contributing his time and effort to this department. He performed fire inspections, taught driver's training, and basic fire apparatus operations.
He is loved and survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bud is preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, JoAnn; parents, Laura and Fred Fischer; sisters, Eve and Grace Fischer; and his brother, Leonard Fischer. |

"Uncle Bud" had a huge heart and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be at St. John's Lutheran Church, 1804 Highland Ave., Eau Claire, WI from 4:00-7:00pm Thursday, February 5, 2009. Funeral services for Bud will be at St. John's Lutheran Church, 11:00am, Friday, February 6, 2009, where friends may gather again one hour prior to services. Pastor Karen Hofstad will be officiating services. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington immediately following services.
