She was born April 19, 1933 in Whitehall, WI. Faye was united in marriage to William Gesell on August 28, 1955 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Whitehall. Faye taught second grade in Elk Mound, WI for 25 years. She will long be remembered by her family and friends as a soft spoken and loving friend, wife, mother, and grandmother.
Faye loved flowers, flower gardens, and nature. She especially loved her cabin up north with the woods and animals. She looked forward to cooking and hosting family gatherings. Faye was an avid reader and enjoyed novels and literature of all kinds. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family, and she loved taking her children and grandchildren shopping. |

She will be sadly missed by her husband, William; three daughters, Roberta (Ken) Obermueller of River Falls, Patty (Kent) Schroeder of Eau Claire, and Gloria (Chris) Grode of La Crosse; seven grandchildren, Amanda Obermueller, Jacklyn (Pat) Gunderson, Tyler Obermueller, Lindsay Schroeder, Kirsten Schroeder, Sam Grode, and Max Grode.
Funeral Services for Faye will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Chapel Heights United Methodist Church, 300 W. Hamilton Ave, Eau Claire. The Reverend Jim McKay will be officiating. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the church.
