Russell H. Helberg, age 77, of Eau Claire, passed
away peacefully on December 9, 2009 at Luther Hospital.
Russell was born November 6, 1932 in Colfax, WI to Henry and
Hattie (Jacobi) Helberg. On December 27, 1958 he married the love
of his life, Joyce Walker.
They had three children; Bonnie (Terry) Fisher of Neillsville, Steven
(Lorajean) Helberg of Eau Claire and Peter (Teresa) Helberg of Medford; six grandchildren, TJ and Melissa Fisher, Kimberly
McClenning, Bryan and Corey Helberg and Alexandra Helberg; and three great-grandchildren, Dylan Fisher and Mackenzie and Zachary
McClenning. |

Russell was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Raymond of Plainview, MN and grandson, Cody Helberg. Russell farmed his early years in Colfax.
They moved to Eau Claire in 1970 where he worked for Charlson Manufacturing for 20 years. He loved to go to auctions and the casino, and spending time with his family.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1-4 pm at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire, WI 54701. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday December 14, 2009 at 1 pm at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1712 Highland Ave., Eau Claire, WI 54701 with visitation one hour prior to service at church. Fr. Eugene Klink will officiate. Entombment will be at the Chapel of the Resurrection Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery.
