   Bruno D. Ippolite, age 81 of Eau Claire, passed away Friday evening October 2, 2009 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire surrounded by his family. 
 
Born April 10, 1928 in Bessemer, Michigan the son of Bruno and Madeline (Masnaghetti) Ippolite. Bruno enlisted in the United States Air Force at the age of 17 and was honorably discharged on October 3, 1947. He married Joan Danielson on October 25, 1952 in Ironwood, Michigan. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Michigan and his master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin Superior. He was a teacher and an administrator in Ashland, WI until he came to Eau Claire in 1965 to become the assistant Superintendent in charge of business affairs for the Eau Claire School District. After his retirement in 1988 he and Joan enjoyed many winters with their friends in Gulf Shores, Alabama. He loved the Michigan Wolverines and the Green Bay Packers. He was a longtime member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. 
   

He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Joan, Daughter-in law Kathy Ippolite, Daughter Carole (Ron) Thompson, Sons Bob (Rene’) Ippolite, Don (Lisa) Ippolite, and Daughter Janis (Jeff) Larson. He is further survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son David, His parents, brothers, and sisters. 
 
Funeral Services will be at 11 am on Wednesday October 7, 2009 at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1120 Cedar Street, Eau Claire, WI 54703. Pastor Don Wisner will officiate. Committal services are tentatively scheduled at 2 pm on Thursday October 8, 2009 at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening, October 6, 2009 from 4-7 pm at Fuller Speckien Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire, WI and Wednesday morning at the church from 10 am until the time of services. Memorials may be given in Bruno's name to the church. 
 
The family would like to thank the staffs of Dove Healthcare and Sacred Heart Hospital. A special thank you to Dr. Nathaniel Jalil and the staff at the Sacred Heart Dialysis Center who took such excellent care of Bruno for over nine years.
