   Lorraine Francis Jensen, 97, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Fall Creek Nursing Home on January 15, 2009. Lorraine was born January 13, 1912 to Kathryn and Daniel Bartell in Salem, Wisconsin, both of whom have preceded her in death. A sister, Evelyn, two brothers, Irvin and Larry Bartell, a daughter-in-law, Betty Jensen and two great grandchildren, Christopher Swift and Daniel Ennis, has preceded her in death.
 
On April 13, 1932, Lorraine married Robert I. Jensen, of Lewiston Station, in Rockford, Illinois. The remainder of her life was spent in Wisconsin Dells until April of 2003 when she moved to Eau Claire to be near her family. She has resided in Eau Claire since then.
   

During her lifetime she was a Sunday school teacher, housewife, waitress, volunteer at the Tomah VA, a member of the Wisconsin Dells American Legion Auxiliary and worked at the Badger Ordinance Plant in Baraboo during the war. Survivors include children, Fern (Jensen) Wenman of Eau Claire and Robert J. Jensen of Manchester, New Hampshire, grandchildren: Bobby, Kenny, Mary and Roger Jensen of New Hampshire; Pam, Kathleen, Roben Ennis of Eau Claire: Katrina (William) Pierson of Stockton, California and Brian (Tina) Welke of Oshkosh, Wisconsin. She is also survived by great grandchildren Megan, Emily, Samuel and Paul Ennis of Eau Claire: Matthew, Jessica and, Crystal Swift and Benjamin Pierson of Stockton, California, and Dan Putzer of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; Robert, Joseph, John, Michael, Jennifer and Michelle Jensen from New Hampshire. In addition, Lorraine is survived by a sister, Betty (Delbert) Kucken of Oconomowoc, WI and a sister-in-law Helen Bartell, several nieces and nephews and two great great grandchildren.
 
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday January 21, 2009 at Bethany Lutheran Church, 620 Broadway Street, Wisconsin Dells. Pastor Craig Wolfgram will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday morning from 11:00 am until the time of services. Burial will be in the Spring Grove Cemetery immediately following the services. Lunch will follow the burial at the Presbyterian Church United, 730 Cedar Street, Wisconsin Dells.
