Harvey M. Kent, age 70, of Eau Claire,
WI died July 31, 2009 at Sacred Heart Hospital from heart
problems.

Harvey, son of Hebard and Mabel (Wood) Kent, was
born June 14, 1939 in Eau Claire, WI. He graduated from Memorial
High School in June 1958. He was in the U.S Air Force from 1958 to
1963. He married Nancy Modl on August 5, 1961 at Epiphany Lutheran
Church by Pastor Hopmann. After the Air Force, he worked at the
paper mill in Eau Claire for 38 years. He retired in 2001.
Harvey enjoyed camping and fishing with his wife and family. He
loved to hunt and drive his John Deere tractor. Harvey was a
member of the Steam Engine Club of Eau Claire and loved watching
his fishing shows on TV.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hebard and Mabel Kent, a
brother Daryl Kent and his in-laws Bernard and Beulah Modl.
He survived by his wife Nancy of Eau Claire. Two sons, Tony (Sue) Kent of Rock Falls, Mark (Melissa) Kent of Rock Falls, and a daughter Shelly (Dave) Rutherford of
Menomonie. One sister, Shirley (Dave) Flynn, Two Brothers, Tom Kent and Jan (Carolyn ) Kent all of Eau Claire. Four grandchildren, Jessica Kent, Tyler Kent, Amanda Rutherford, and Emily Kent. One great-grandson Riley Kent. |

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday August 4, 2009 at Epiphany Lutheran Church of Eau Claire, 3031 Epiphany Lane, Eau Claire, WI 54701, Pastor Russell Kampfer officiating. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date at Gilmanton cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 PM on Monday August 3, 2009 at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire and one hour before service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Harvey's name to Epiphany Lutheran Church.
