During World War II, she was employed at the Eau Claire Ordinance plant and Western Electric. Afterwards, she was employed at Cramer Cleaners and Independent Cleaners.
On December 10, 1948, she was united in marriage to Ed Klavetter. They made their home in Altoona. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church since 1949 and was active in Evening Guild and Altar Guild. She also enjoyed working with the Lutheran Braille Workers' Sight Saving Project at Bethlehem since its beginnings in 1966.
She is survived by her son, William (Arli) Klavetter of Redwood Falls, Minnesota; daughter, Karen (Carl) Keehn of Eau Claire; six grandchildren: Eric (Heather) Klavetter, Brian Klavetter, Laura (Brian) Kokos, Megan Klavetter, Heather Keehn, and Courtney Keehn; four great-grandchildren: Parker, Elijah, and Katherine Klavetter; and Abram Kokos; and brother Donald Timm of Bluefield, West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her granddaughter Ashley Keehn, parents and grandparents.
She dearly loved her family and her many friends. She loved doing fancy work, especially crocheting. Inga loved to visit with people, whether in person or on the phone, and always had a kind word for everyone. She was compassionate, generous, thoughtful, and kind-hearted, and she will truly be missed by her family.
Services will be on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Altoona, Wisconsin with Pastor Steve Rutter officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Gardens. Friends may call at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home on Sunday, May 31, 2009 from 2-5 p.m. and for one hour at the church before services.
