Francis Anthony Kunz, age 78, of Eau Claire, passed peacefully, on October 24, 2009, after struggling with cancer. His family was by his side.

Fran was born February 19, 1931 in Eau Claire to Frank and Sidonia Kunz. He married the love of his life, Jan, on May 22,
1971. He served 4 years in the Navy, taught at the Vocational School, and worked as an electrical engineer at
Uniroyal. He retired in 1988 so he could keep on working and helping his neighbors and friends with projects. He enjoyed working outside the most, but also loved woodworking and sculpting with clay!
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Sidonia Kunz; brother, Charles Kunz; brother-in-law, Larry
Wieg, and son-in-law, Barney Dawson. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jan; step-children, Debbie Sazama (Dick), Diane
Pattison, Denise Hayden (Jim); sisters, Verna Wieg and Elaine Kunz; sister-in-law, Flossy Kunz; along with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him. |

Funeral Service will be Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 3 PM at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Fran's nephew, Fr. David Kunz will officiate. Memorials preferred to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Eau Claire. Friends may offer online condolences at www.fullerspeckien.com.
