Marcella Harriett Larson, beloved mother,
grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at home on
Wednesday, May 27, 2009. She had received hospice and family care.
Marcella was born to Helmer and Minnie Mae (Holt) Olson in
Boyceville, WI on January 14, 1923. She lived her early years in
Colfax and Chippewa Falls and was a 1941 graduate of Chippewa
Falls High School. Marcella married I. Obert Larson on January 6,
1944. They lived on Lowes Creek Road where they raised their six
children.
Marcella is survived by daughter-in-law Betsy Larson, Eau Claire; son Lee (Dorothy) Larson, Woodbury, MN: daughter Barbara
(A.J.) Anderson, Grand Rapids, MN; son Dr. Richard (Judy) Larson, Altoona, WI; son Dr. Randy (Vicky) Larson, Spooner, WI; son Rev. Daniel (Carrie) Larson, Lawler, IA; and her brother Norman (Dolores) Olson, PA. Marcella enjoyed her 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. |

She was preceded in death by her husband Obert, son Jonathon, parents, sister Wanda Tainter, and four brothers, Richard, Julius, Victor, and Kenneth.
Visitation will be from 3 to 4PM on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3715 London Road, Eau Claire, WI. Funeral services will follow at 4PM. Burial will be in Rest Haven Gardens Cemetery immediately following the services. Memorials may be made to Concordia Lutheran Church.
