Bobbie Rae Mann (Greenwold) passed away peacefully on January 15, 2009 surrounded by family and friends. She was born on December 7, 1946 at Great Lakes, IL. She graduated from Barron High School in 1965. Bobbie graduated with a teaching degree from UW-Milwaukee in 1969. On August 5, 1967 she married the love of her life, Robert G. Mann. Bobbie began her illustrious teaching career at Cedarburg Elementary School. After a brief move to Green Bay, Rob, Bobbie and their baby daughter Kelly moved to Eau Claire where they welcomed their son, Jon, raised their children and spent the rest of their lives. Bobbie was a stay at home mom while Kelly and Jon were young, but her love of children was evident because she cared for others children in her home. In 1977, she went back to teaching; encouraging young minds at Cotty Vefald preschool. Bobbie entered the Eau Claire public school system in 1991. For the last fifteen years she has been a much loved kindergarten teacher at Robbins School. Rob & Bobbie and their family joined the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd when they moved to Eau Claire. Bobbie continued her love of children by teaching Sunday School and then serving as the Superintendent of Sunday School. She also was a member of the Heavenly Bells hand bell choir. For the last thirty years Bobbie was a member Beta Sigma Phi sorority.

Bobbie is survived by her daughter Kelly and her husband Dennis Marquardt and their three sons, Benjamin, Nate and Alec of Eau Claire. She is also survived by her son Jon and his wife Joy and their daughter Kennedie of Eau Claire. Other survivors include her mother June Greenwold of Barron, brothers Mike Greenwold of Haugen, Jerry (Karen) and Jack Greenwold of Barron and their families and her half-sister Bonnie Sanders of Rice Lake. Bobbie is also survived by Rob's sister Debbie (Jeff) Joslyn of Delafield his brother Kerry Mann of Sauk City and their families. Bobbie touched the lives of hundreds of children and their parents during her teaching career. They will miss her as well as her family and friends. |

She was preceded in death by her husband Rob, and his parents Bob & Jean Mann. She was also preceded in death by her father Leonard Greenwold.
Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, Jan.18th, 2009 at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1120 Cedar Street, Eau Claire. Friends may call at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Private family burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
