Arthur was born August 4th 1955 to David and Patricia Mayer Eau Claire. He Graduated from Altoona High School and moved to Phoenix Arizona where he attended college classes and worked as a paramedic. Arthur then took a job with the AT&T. His job moved him to the state of Texas, where he met and married his true love Peggy Marion in 1994. While living in Texas, Arthur earned his Bachelor of Science Degree at the Amber College of Dallas, Texas. He is a member of the Elks club in Dallas Texas. His Job again moved Arthur and his family to the state of Indiana. A few years later he moved his family back to Eau Claire in 2004 to be near family. Arthur loved to go camping with his family, fishing; traveling around the U.S. Arthur loved spending time with his boys. He was known to talk up a storm with family and friends, always there when a call for help came his way. He loved computers and came to fix his families computers on a monthly basis always with a grin on his face. His pet cat named Yahtzee was his best animal friend, which he teased daily.
 
Art is survived by his wife Peggy, three minor sons Ray, Adam and Matthew. His parents David and Patricia Mayer, sisters Teresa Mayer Altoona, Renee (Michael) Hanson, Christy (Clint) Heiman of Eau Claire and one brother Michael Mayer of Fall Creek. His in-laws Earl and Kay Marion of Prairie Farm, sister in-laws, Stacey (Dana) Marion, Heidi (Eugene) Lynch, Marilyn (Kraig) Shelton, and John Marion and Fiancé Stef and many nieces and nephews.
 
His grandparents Val and Francis Mayer and Douglas and Ruth O'Donahoe preceded Arthur in death.
