Timothy A. “Bud” Meehan, 89, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the Care Partners assisted living facility in Eau Claire, WI.

Tim was born June 12, 1920 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of Timothy A. Meehan (Sr.) and Grace H. Parker Meehan. He served stateside in the Army Air Corps as an airplane and engine mechanic during WWII from November, 1943 through March, 1946. He married Betty Jean Housholder October 25, 1947, in Illinois, where he was an engineering student at the Aeronautical University in Chicago, IL. A year later he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Tim and Betty went to Baltimore, Maryland to start Tim’s career and their family; two sons, Ken, 1949 and Tim, 1951, and daughter Patti in 1958. They were transferred to California in 1964 where they lived in Northridge for 22 years, and then retired to Temecula in 1986 – Tim continued to negotiate government contracts in the aerospace industry for the next five years. Tim enjoyed retirement much more than he thought he would – he was a passionate golfer until age 80; he wrote a monthly newsletter to his golfing buddies; he read one or two books a week, and he liked to entertain friends and family for dinner at a favorite restaurant or country club. He was a happily married man and lived a peaceful and orderly life with his sweetheart “Puddin’ ”.

Survivors include his wife Betty, residing at Country Terrace, 1916 Talen, Menomonie, WI, 54751; his son, Ken (Gail) Meehan of Menomonie, WI; his daughter Patti (Ron) Ware of Kirkland, WA; his three grandchildren, Lucas Meehan (Angie) of Eau Claire, WI; Andrea Ware Heber (Jared) of Los Angeles, CA; and Garrett Ware (Emily) of Kirkland, WA.; his three great-grandchildren; McKoy and Korbin Meehan and Rowan Heber. Tim was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Patrick; his sisters Grace and Mary; and his son, Tim.
