Lois M. Moen, age 60 of Eau Claire,
died at Luther Hospital on Tuesday morning.

Lois was born on June 2, 1949, in Eau Claire,
Wisconsin, the daughter of Irving and Ardella (Brein) Holum. She
graduated from Memorial High in 1967. On June 8, 1968, she married
Milton Moen, Jr. at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. Later in
life, Lois received a degree in Technical Writing from UW-Stout.
She worked many years as a technical writer.
Lois especially enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, making stained
glass, camping, and Bluegrass music.
She is survived by her husband, Milton, Jr.; sons, Milton Moen, III and Joshua (Tammy) Moen; seven grandchildren,
Skyler, Wyatt, Bennett, Jake, Cody, Will, and Jordan; sister, Sandra Smith; brother, Rodney
Holum; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. |

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Irvin Holum Jr.; grandparents, Lois and Loyd Holum, George Brein, and Alice Hobbs.
A funeral service for Lois will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 17, 2009, at Grace Lutheran Church, 202 W. Grand Ave, Eau Claire, with Pastor David Irgens officiating. Family and friends may call at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire, on Sunday from 3 until 6 p.m. and again at church one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Brunswick Cemetery.
