Gerald M. Nolan, 58, of Rock Falls, WI passed away peacefully at home amongst his family on January 16th, 2009.
 

   He was born on Nov. 6, 1950 in Michigan to Mary Jean and Gerald Nolan. He grew up in the Detroit area with his parents Jean and George Ogg and five siblings. Jerry enlisted in the U.S. Army after high school. While stationed in Colorado, he met his wife Diane Larson of Elk Mound. They were married on Oct. 30th, 1971 in Eau Claire, WI. They raised their 3 daughters on a farm in Rock Falls, WI. 
 
Jerry was very active in his community. He was an active member of the Rock Creek Lutheran Church, Rock Creek Town Board, and a volunteer firefighter. He recently served on the Dunn County Solid Waste committee. Jerry worked in the propane gas business for 35 years. 
 
Some of his greatest moments were those spent working for the Durand School District. He especially enjoyed working with students and coaching wrestling. He was a self-taught handyman and used his skills to help family and neighbors often. After retirement he was the day care provider for his granddaughter for the first year of her life. 
 
He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and father-in-law. 
 
He is survived by his wife Diane, 3 daughters; Michelle (Sherman) Wallace, Stephanie (Nathan) Nolan, Brenda (Leslie) Gunnufson, one granddaughter Hailey SueAnn Wallace, his siblings: Joyce (Rick) Snow, George Ogg, Harry (Joni) Ogg, Terri (Jim) Edgar, Tina (Mike) Snider, many nieces and nephews, special friend Larry Werner, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, and countless friends and neighbors.  He is survived by Mother-in-law Lenore Larson of Elk Mound.
 

 
The funeral service will be at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church in Rock Falls, WI, on Wednesday, January 21st at 11:00 am with Pastor Dale Horner officiating. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 pm at the Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home in Eau Claire on Tuesday January 20th, and one hour before service on Wednesday at the church.
 
"Nolan" will be missed dearly by all those he has touched in his life.
