   Edna Norrish died peacefully June 1, 2009 at Dove Healthcare where she has resided for the last year. She was born May 9, 1922 in the town of Meridean. Her parents were Art and Gora Berg. She lived in the Rock Falls area her entire childhood. It was there she met her future husband, Floyd. As she liked to say “they fell in love in the second grade”. They were married on October 26, 1946. They were married for 52 years, living most of their married life in the home that Floyd built on Webster Avenue.
 
Edna was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. For many years, she worked as a bookkeeper at McDermid Agency.
   

Edna enjoyed all types of music. Edna was a beautiful pianist and taught piano lessons for many years. The residents of Dove enjoyed her mini recitals. Floyd and Edna were long time members of the Eau Claire Moose Lodge and spent many Saturday nights there dancing. They also enjoyed camping and traveling in their motor home. Edna will be remembered for her great love of animals and her daily walks around the neighborhood.
 
She is survived by her three children, Margo Jevne, Gary Norrish, both of Eau Claire and Shari Norrish of Altoona. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Corey Jevne, Conni Jevne and Derek Norrish. Floyd preceded her in death in October 1998.
 
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on June 4, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Heather Wigdahl officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Gardens Cemetery immediately following the services.
 
Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, American Cancer Society or the Eau Claire County Humane Association.
