Thomas D. Phillips, age 49 of Eau Claire passed away Sunday morning May 31, 2009 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 4 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 3307 State Street, Eau Claire, WI with Reverend Herbert Prahl officiating. Friends may call at the church on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
Thomas was born on February 3, 1960 in Wausau, WI to Richard “Dick” and Lynne (Huebner) Phillips. Tom graduated from Burlington High School in 1978 and he later married Lynette “Lyn” Dyann Smith on August 21, 1982 in Burlington, IA.
Thomas was a member of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors and St. Mark Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, woodworking, and spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandson. |

Survivors include his wife, Lyn, two daughters Ashley and Katie, and Son Derek, two brothers, Tim, St. Paul, MN and Ron, Phoenix, AZ.,
grandson, Logan and parents. Tom was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Ruth (Wisch) Phillips, and Charles and Clara (Baumgart) Huebner.
