   Jack E. Radtke, age 85, died Monday morning, July 13 at Oakwood Villa Nursing Home in Altoona.
 
Jack Ewald Radtke was born March 9, 1924 to Ewald and Ethel (Missman) Radtke in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He grew up in the 9th ward. He married Shirley Holt on May 17, 1947 in Eau Claire.
 
Jack was employed as a baker for 29 years at Bunny Bread and 17 years as a custodian at the Altoona Public Schools. He enjoyed ice-skating, roller-skating, playing horseshoes, camping, trips to the casino and traveling. He loved to putz around the yard and house.
   

Jack is survived by his wife, Shirley; son, Tom (Ruth) Radtke; daughter, Carol (Fred) Howard; grandchildren, Chris (Kim) Radtke, Kim (Kevin) Lanners, Andy (Nina) Howard, and Jeff (Tania) Howard; great-grandchildren, Shelby Lanners, Mady Lanners, Makayla Radtke and Haley Radtke; sisters, Evelyn Creviston and Bonnie (Clarence) Poppe; brothers, Ferd Radtke, Les (Kay) Radtke and Jim (Sue) Radtke; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
 
He is preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Emily Holt; brother-in-law, Mick Creviston and sister-in-law, Rose Radtke.
 
Services for Jack will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Altoona with Pastor Joe Schultz officiating. Friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15 at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire and again, on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire.
