Henry worked as a police officer in the Patrol Division, was a detective in the Narcotics division, and achieved the rank of Captain in 1971. Henry was also a 1970 graduate of the Southern Police Institute and a 1973 graduate of the
F.B.I. National Academy at Quantico, Virginia.
He left the department in 1976 to pursue other ventures. After a stroke in 2003, he retired.
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents
Survivors include his wife Margaret “Nancy” of Eau Claire, Three children; Maxine (Pat) Katterhagen of Eau Claire, Dennis (Karen) of Chippewa, and Kenneth of Eau Claire; a brother Anthony “Tony” (Hazel) Ring of Thorp , Aunt Doris and her daughter Bev of Eau Claire; Six Grandchildren, Three Great Grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
