   Aurelio “Al” J. Santolin, age 88, of Deer River, Minnesota passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009 while visiting his son in Eleva, Wisconsin. Al was born on January 30, 1921, in Chicago, Illinois to Pietro and Emma Santolin. He graduated from Pullman Tech High School in 1940. He was a Tool and Die Maker by trade and was employed as a foreman. On August 25, 1953, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Aurelio married Joanne Frigo, his partner in life for 54 years. 
 
Al is survived by his two sons Craig (Barbara) of Eleva, Wisconsin and Bruce (Lisa) of Cohasset, Minnesota. He enjoyed his two grandchildren, Ashley and Marc Santolin of Eleva, Wisconsin. He leaves one brother Vincent (Diana) Santolin of Tinley Park, Illinois; sister-in-law, Dorothy Novy of Ingleside, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joanne in 2007; brother, Bruno Santolin and his parents. 
   

Funeral services will be held at Queen of Heavens Mausoleum in Hillside, Illinois on Friday, May 1, 2009 at 1:30 P.M with interment to follow. Deacon Joe Siranovic will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the American Heart Association in Al’s name. Friends may offer condolences online at www.fullerspeckien.com.
