Lloyd K. Smith


		Lloyd K. Smith, age 90, of Eau Claire went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, May 3rd, 2009. He was born on May 14, 1918 in Barron, WI, the son of Conrad and Inga (Amundson) Smith. He attended school in Barron, WI. On August 25, 1937 Lloyd married Orleen A. Folz. They were married for 71 years. Lloyd enjoyed golfing and among his trophies is a "Hole In One" from Mill Run Golf Course. He and his wife enjoyed wintering in Florida for 33 years. Lloyd owned and operated a painting and decorating business for over thirty years. Some of his greatest contracting accomplishments included extensive work at Luther Hospital, UniRoyal and he had many satisfied residential customers.


He is survived by his wife Orleen, two daughters, Corriene (Rev. Nelson) Clair, Kenosha, WI and Kathy A. Hahn, Eau Claire, WI; six grandchildren, Rev. Barry Clair, Brent Clair, Bradley Clair, Brenda St. Pierre, Jeffrey Giedd, Stefanie Thompson and thirteen great -grandchildren. He also is survived by two brothers, Lester (Olive) Smith of Ridgeland, WI and Donald (Maxine) Smith of Dallas, WI. Lloyd was a loving caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be missed dearly. His parents and a sister Florence Christensen preceded him in death. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday May 6, 2009 at Fuller Speckien Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 10 am until the time of services.
