Esther K. Solberg

Esther K. (Longberg) Solberg, age 94 formerly of Eau Claire, WI died peacefully Friday, morning August 21, 2009 at the Sunrise Assisted Living Center in Roseville, Minnesota.
		Memorial service and celebration of Esther’s extraordinary life will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday August 27, 2009 at the Holden Lutheran Church, approximately three miles north of Colfax on Highway M. Pastor Bob Schoenknecht will officiate. Burial will immediately follow the service in the Holden Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the church Thursday morning from 10 am until the time of services. Esther was born on June 6, 1915 to Evan and Karen (Jacobson) Longberg in Elk Mound, WI . She married Basil Solberg on August 19, 1939 in Elk Mound. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. Esther was a long time member of the P.E.O Sisterhood.


Esther is survived by her sons Charles (Margaret) Solberg of St. Paul, MN, and James (Beth) Solberg of Middletown, Ohio, daughter Mary (John) Christensen of Two Rivers, WI, grandchildren Kristin (Adam), Jessica (Jessie), Jamie, Justin (Kristin), Joseph, and Thomas Christensen. She was preceded in death by her husband Basil, sister, Olive Howe and parents Evan and Karen Longberg.
