The Rev. Dr. James F. Williams passed away at his home in Eau Claire, WI, surrounded by the love of family and friends.
Born in Malone, NY, the family moved to Wooster,OH, where he grew up and attended the College Of Wooster. After graduation from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, he spent five years as a Fraternal Secretary in Hong Kong with
a Chinese College Refugee Center. Returning to the States he served as a pastor in Illinois and Kansas, before the family moved to Denver, where he became Assoc. Manager of the Colorado-Wyoming Division of the American Red Cross. In 1978 he became Manager and CEO of the N. California and W. Nevada Division. |

After retirement he received his Doctorate degree through the San Francisco Theological Seminary, and served as Interim Pastor at Old First Presbyterian Church in San Francisco.
He is survived by his wife, Marge, children Robert (Julie), of San Mateo, CA; Michael (Solange) of Severna Park, MD; and Jacqueline Rentzepis (Michael); six grandchildren, and a brother, Dr. John R. Williams, Jr. of Gulfport, MS.
