Throughout his life, Morgan was an active member of the Lutheran Church, first Our Savior's Lutheran Church, and then Trinity Lutheran Church. He was active in the Trinity Friendship Circle and other church activities. He continued his church activities at the Syverson Lutheran Home, where he made many dear friends and served as a greeter for church services. He enjoyed nature, loved horses, and liked to work with his hands, enjoying both carpentry and craft activities. He was also an active gardener.
In addition to his wife, Morgan was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers (two of whom died before age 6), four sisters, his son, Curtis, who died in infancy, and a granddaughter, Laurie Berg. He is survived by two sons, Larry (Doreen) and John (Kate), and his daughter, Karen Mallory. In addition, he leaves 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and many dear friends. His warmth, charm and good humor will be greatly missed.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 8 at 1:00 PM at the Syverson Lutheran Home Chapel, 816 Porter Ave. Eau Claire, WI 54701 with visitation one hour prior. Reverend Debra Boynton will officiate. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire following the services.
The family requests memorials be given in Morgan's name to St. Joseph's Hospice, 2661 County Hwy I, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin 54729.
