Kathryn R. Elliott age 90 of Eau Claire, passed away at Sacred Heart Hospital on June 27, 2010.

Kathryn was born to Glen V. Rork & Eleanor Weidman on February 29, 1920 in Greenwood, WI. She grew up in Owen, WI and moved to Eau Claire in 1927 where she graduate from Eau Claire High School in 1937. After high School, she attended Milwaukee Downer and later transferred to the University of MN where she studied Art. She then married Lyman P. Elliott in 1942. Kathryn was a member of PEO chapter AF since 1942. She taught painting & pottery at the YMCA during the 60's. She kept up her love of painting & counted cross-stitch for many years. She was an avid reader & had a lifelong interest of her family's genealogy. She worked at Luther Hospital for 15 years retiring in 1985. She also volunteered at the Chippewa Valley Museum for many years. Kathryn's wit & sense of humor was enjoyed by all and will be greatly missed. |

Kathryn is preceded in death by her husband, Lyman P. Elliott (1978); parents, Glen & Eleanor Rork; and brothers, Whitman & Allen. She is survived by children, Stephen (Virginia), James (Jodi) & Mary (Jack) Dodge; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and lifelong friend, Ruth McDermid.
Memorial Service will be at 2PM, Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at First Congregational United Church of Christ 310 Broadway Street, Eau Claire, WI 54703 with visitation one hour prior to service. Rev. Dr.
Mark X. Pirazzini will be officiating. Interment will be in the First Congregational Memorial Garden.
