Merle I. Gabus, age 90, of Eau Claire, died February 4, 2010 at the Dunn County Health Care Center in
Menomonie, WI. She was born June 28, 1919 in McCann CA to Ora and Mary
(Recek) Kerry. She graduated from Sanger High School in CA in 1937. She married Arthur H. Gabus Jr. on July 10th, 1938. A few years later they moved to Eau Claire.

Merle is survived by children, Karen (Michael) Collins of Red Wing MN, Julie (Kerry) Craft of Madisonville LA, Mark Gabus of Eau Claire and Garrett Gabus of Eau Claire; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Velsie June Sweeney of Visalia, CA and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by former husband, Arthur H.
Gabus; brother, Harold Kerry and granddaughter, Amy Collins. A private family service will be held. Interment will be at Lakeview cemetery. Memorials preferred to Grace Edgewood Assisted Living Facility in Altoona, WI or a charity of donor's choice.
