Harry W. "Buck" Moss, 78, passed away Feb. 14th 2010 at Sacred Heart Hospital of complications following lung surgery. He was surrounded by family & loved ones. Buck was born on 3-13-31, one of 13 children, to Emil & Eliza (Hempleman) Moss in Eau Claire. He married Jane Campbell on 11-11-50. In 1952 they moved to the family farm where they remained. Besides a barn full of cows & a house full of kids, Buck worked in town as a Mason Tender. From 1969-1972, they owned & operated Moss's Sherwood Inn where they started the famous "Friday night Fish Fry" & Saturday night dances/music. Buck obliged Jane with square dancing and while Jane obliged him with fishing, they found a sport they both loved for the duration whether in a boat or the ice shack. They enjoyed the fishing & the fish reports. Buck enjoyed visits from family & friends. The farm was always alive with people & conversation around the kitchen table. Springtime meant hours of collecting sap and cooking maple syrup while visiting around the Sugar Shack.

"Buck" was loved and adored by his family and friends and will be greatly missed by the people who's lives he has touched in so many special ways. We willingly turned him over to Our Lord but we will miss being able to say " Good job Grandpa" and getting the two thumbs up back from him. He will remain in our hearts and prayers until we all meet again.
His family would like to extend a special thank you to Pastors Paul Sullivan, Otto Trebelhorn and Father Klimek along with the 2nd floor CCU team and Doctors at Sacred Heart where they cared for him for 26 days.

A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
