Valma E. O’Mara, age 90, of Eau Claire, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2010 at Luther Hospital.
Valma was born August 28, 1919 in Pleasant Valley Township to Harvey and Elna Hazen. She married John H. O’Mara on November 13, 1937 in Eau Claire. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include her son, Richard of Eau Claire; daughter, Colleen (Howard) Hammer of Osseo and son, James (Marge) of Eau Claire; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Emery Hazen of Eau Claire; sister, Elna Yaeger of Altoona; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. |

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John on Oct. 1, 1992; brothers, Vian, Jesse, Harvey and Stanley Hazen; sister, Fern Bremel; and grandson, Douglas.
Memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association. A private family service will be held. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
