Connie was a dedicated lifelong member of Grace
Lutheran Church and served on various boards and committees.
Connie's main passion was cooking and baking for church events and
bringing treats to her many dear friends and relatives. She also was
an avid crossword puzzle solver. All dogs were Connie's friends,
especially Norsk, Deutsch, Buddy and Honey.
Connie enjoyed the outdoors and the sun. She was also interested in many sports, especially football and was an avid Packer fan. She liked most music ranging from classical to oldies. Connie will be remembered for her outgoing personality, winning smile and thoughtfulness toward those whose lives she touched.
Connie is survived by her husband, Emil; two sisters, Joan (Jim) Johnson of Phoenix and Coryne (Norman) Knutson of Colfax; brother, John (Carolyn) Barstad of Eau Claire; brother-in-law, Tip Hoyt of Eau Claire and many loving nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She is also survived by two step-daughters, Cristel Tack and Caryn Schulz; three step-grandchildren, Emil Tack, Petra Passell and Vivian Passell. Connie is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mary Hoyt.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 24th from 4-7pm in the chapel of Grace Lutheran Church 202 West Grand Avenue Eau Claire, WI 54703. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 25th at 11AM Grace Lutheran Church with visitation from 10AM until the time of services with Pastor Rolf Nestingen officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire WI immediately following services.
Memorials may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church, the HERS Breast Center at Luther/Midelfort or the Eau Claire County Humane Association.
