Rose Solem of Altoona went to be with her Lord on Friday evening July 2, 2010.
She was born January 30, 1910 in Fairchild, WI. Daughter of August and Pauline
(Schuman) Stelter. She married Lloyd Hogan on May 15, 1934. He passed away on December 9, 1962. She married Palmer Solem on December 30, 1972. He passed away on May 19, 1998.
She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, WELC, Martha Circle, Choir and the quilting group. She was also a member of Women of the Moose, and the Shrine Auxiliary. She worked at Randall Grocery Store for ten years, retiring in 1975. |

She enjoyed music, fishing, playing cards, and visiting with her many friends.
Survivors include her brother Irvin Stelter of Grand Ledge, Michigan, Son, Allen "Pat" (Diane) Hogan of Lansing, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Irene Miske, two brothers, Walter and Harold Stelter, one son, Eugene Hogan, and one grandson, Shawn Hogan.
Memorial Services will take place at 11:00 am on Tuesday July 6, 2010 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1310 Main Street, Eau Claire, WI 54701. Pastor Gary Sahs will officiate. Friends may visit at the church Tuesday morning from 9 am until the time of services. Committal services will take place Tuesday afternoon at 1:45 pm in the Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Rose's name to the church or a charity of choice. Friends and family may offer condolences online at www.fullerspeckienhulke.com. Fuller Speckien Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire, WI 54701 is assisting the family with the arrangements.
