Fern B. DeMoe, 88 of Eau Claire, WI passed away Friday, June 24, 2011 at The Clairemont Nursing and Rehabilitation in Eau Claire.
 

   Memorial services will take place at 1:30 pm on Tuesday June 28, 2011 at Fuller Speckien Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire, WI 54701. The Rev. Eleanor Michaud of Heatherwood Assisted Living will officiate. Memorial visitation will take place at the funeral home from 1 pm on Tuesday until the time of services. Burial will immediately follow services in the Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire.
 
She was born October 29, 1922 in Eau Claire to Fred and Freda (Wagnild) Miller. One of thirteen children, she grew up in Springbrook Township in Dunn County. She graduated from Menomonie High School and worked at the U.S. Rubber Ordnance during W.W. II.
   

She married Jack S. DeMoe on November 20, 1941 in St. Charles, IL. They were members of Salem Baptist Church in Eau Claire for many years. She worked at various Eau Claire retail stores- especially enjoying getting together with the "Prange Girls". Together with her husband they built four homes in the Eau Claire area. They enjoyed traveling around the U.S., to Europe and South America.
 
She is survived by her children Cheryl (Bob) Hosken of Madison, WI, Steve (Joyce) DeMoe of Cary, NC, Connie (Denny) Denk-DeMoe of Eau Claire, Jack II (Courtney) DeMoe of Waunakee, WI; thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, sisters Delores (Dick) Kopp, Ivadel (Ozzie) Howe; brothers Rodger (Jean) , Robert (Edith), Norman (Marion); several nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack, daughter Janice (Jim) Brumet, grandson Mitchell Denk, sister Ruth (Emil) Maves, Donna Mae, brothers Walter (Gladys), Todd (Lydia), Everett (Aileen), Edward, LeRoy (Marie).
 
A sincere Thank You to Heatherwood Assisted Living and staff for the special attention given to Fern during her last years of independent living and also to the staff of The Clairemont for their care, kindness, and comfort measures.
 
Memorials may be given in Fern's name to a charity of the donor's choice. Friends may offer condolences online at www.fullerspeckienhulke.com.
