   Olinda L. Fimreite, 105, of Eau Claire formerly of Eleva, died Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Oakwood Villa Nursing Home in Altoona.
 
She was born January 22, 1906 in Gilmanton, WI to Carl "Charles" Schultz and Alwina Heike. She was the oldest of 8 children.
 
Olinda graduated from Gilmanton High School on June 1, 1923 and went on to attend the State Teachers College in Eau Claire and graduated on June 12, 1924. She taught in rural schools in Fountain City and Dover Township for 5 years.
 
On June 1, 1929 she married Theodore Fimreite and together they farmed for over 50 years in the town of Albion.
   

Olinda loved to tend to her vegetable garden as well as write skits, based on the Bible and presented them to churches and nursing homes; was very active in Circle Bible studies at Eleva Lutheran Church and later became an active member at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.
 
Olinda loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
 
Survivors include her children ; Olin (Jan) of Whitehall, WI., Evelyn (Harland) Wegner, Northfield, MN. and Stanley (Bobbe), Altoona ; daughter in laws Audrey Fimreite and Joanne Fimreite, her twin sisters Ruth Van Brunt and Ruby (Clarence) Aase, both of Mondovi ; 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
 
She is preceded in death by her husband, Theodore, sons Henry and Clifford, a grandson William Wegner, brothers Elmer, Erhardt and Irvin Schultz and sisters Frieda Nyre and Ella Larson.
 
Funeral services will be on Friday, March 18, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Bethesda Lutheran Church (123 W. Hamilton Ave. Eau Claire) with Pastor Rodney Venberg officiating.
 
Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until time of services at the church on Friday.
 
Committal will be in the Eleva Cemetery.
 
The family would like to thank all the friends and families for their visits and for extending their kindness.
 
A very special thank you to the staff at Oakwood Villa for their loving and compassionate care during Olinda’s final years.
