Dennis Edward Gorell, age 67 of Altoona passed away Monday February 28, 2011 at his home.
Dennis was born June 24, 1943 to Edward and Ione (Nelson) Gorell in Eau Claire, WI. He graduated from Altoona High School in 1961. He proudly served his country and was honorably discharged from the United States Navy. He was employed by Uniroyal for 25 years.

He loved watching football, NASCAR, Brewers and playing golf. He was also an avid train collector.
Dennis is survived by his son; Matthew of Altoona, sisters; , Linda (Ken) Anderson, Hot Springs, Arkansas, Paula Menard of Eau Claire, Judy (Jim) Culver of Chippewa Falls, nieces and nephews; Anna (Randy)

Boyea, Amanda Olson, Ashley Olson, Jeffrey Lynch, Andrew Lynch, Hanna
Tambornino, Nadia Tambornino, Ethan Roach, Anthony Roach, Marcus Roach, Tessa Roach, Ryan Roach and his loving cat "Kitty". He is preceded in death by his parents and nephew Tommy Roach.
His last wish was to see the Packers win the Super Bowl! |

Funeral Services for Dennis will be at 12:00 pm on Friday March 4, 2011 at Fuller Speckien Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire, WI 54701. Pastor James Kane will officiate. Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday morning from 10 am until the time of services. Burial with military honors will be at a later date in the Northern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery near Spooner.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his name to the Eau Claire Humane Society.
