   Bernice Green, age 82 of Cleghorn, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2011 after a 10 month battle with kidney cancer.
 
A Mass of Christian burial will be on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1712 Highland Ave., Eau Claire, WI at 1 pm with Fr. Eugene Klink officiating. Visitation will be Monday, October 24 at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Rd., Eau Claire, WI from 4 - 7 pm with a 7 pm prayer service concluding the evenings visitation. 
 
Visitation will continue on Tuesday afternoon one hour prior to services at the church. Inurnment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Eau Claire at a later date.
   

She was born on October 9, 1929 to Frank and Julia (Brantner) Weiss. She attended Kelly School in Pleasant Valley and graduated from St. Patrick's High School in Eau Claire in 1947.
 
Bernice married Lowell Green on July 10, 1948 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Altoona, WI.
 
She is survived by her husband Lowell, 6 children; Mike (Cyndi), Judy (Randy) Fjelstad, Dan (Patti), Deanna, Shelli (Jim) Julson and Chad (Melissa); 21 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; brothers Frank Jr. (Beverly) Weiss, Roger (Darlene) Weiss and LeRoy (Sue) Weiss; brother-in-law George Thiess and sister-in-law Phyllis Weiss. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceding her in death are her parents, 2 brothers, Hubert and Mark Weiss; 5 sisters, Helen Pederson, Gladys King, Emma Roinestad, Leona Steinke and Lucy Thiess; and Deanna's fiance', Ken Meier.
 
Over the years, Bernice enjoyed being on bowling, golfing and horseshoe leagues. She was a secretary for her bowling league and golf committee chairman for several years. She also loved her flower gardens, baking, playing cards and spending time with her many close friends. But mostly loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed so much ....
