Glen Ervin Hanson, age 88, went to be with his Savior on Wed. April 20, 2011 at Care Partners Lindeman House in Eau Claire.
Glen was born July 30, 1922 in Ontario, Canada to Olger and Agnes Hanson. He farmed with his parents on St. Joseph Island and moved with them to the Colfax, WI area in 1941 where he continued farming. In 1949, he married Marcella Lowry. He worked with several carpenters in the area until moving to Eau Claire in 1954. There he was employed by McGrath Buick as a mechanic, Walker Bros. Home Building as a driver, and Walker Construction as shop foreman. In 1970, he began his own home remodeling and antique furniture restoration business. In 1996, he married Jeanne Johnson, former wife of Roy M. Johnson. |

Glen loved His Lord and Savior and was an active member of Bethesda Lutheran Brethren Church. He was caring and compassionate and had a smile and a joke for everyone he met. He took great pride in his work and many of his customers became friends. He will be greatly missed by his step children, nieces, nephews and friends.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Marcella in 1994, his second wife Jeanne in 2006, brothers Lloyd and Leo, sisters Doris Koepke, Viola Patrick and Evelyn Duffing.
He is survived by stepsons: Drew(Marlene) Johnson, Troy(Chen) Johnson, Sam(Julie) Johnson; stepdaughters, Gail(Dave) Akenson, Kim(Ole) Elden, Kay(Gene) Johnson; 17 step grandchildren and 26 step great grandchildren. His is also survived by: nephews, Steve (Lois) Johnson, Mike (Patricia) Lowry, David Lowry, Larry Woodford and J.R. Fyfe; nieces, Susan(Dale) Sandland, Linda Lowry, Judy Woodford; sister-in-law, Ruth Johnson; and other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at Bethesda Lutheran Brethren Church, 123 W. Hamilton, Eau Claire on Monday, April 25 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Pastor Rodney Venberg will be officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may offer condolences online at www.fullerspeckienhulke.com.
