   Emery V. Hazen, 97 of Rock Falls, died Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
 
Emery was born on Oct. 3, 1913 in the town of Pleasant Valley, to Harvey and Ella (Green) Hazen. 
 
During the Great Depression, Emery worked at the CCC Camps. He was a farmhand for Ole and Severena Martinson. While working for the Martinsons, he met his future bride Sena. He and Sena farmed in Rock Falls for over 30 years and in 1970, sold the farm to his only child Vernon.
 
In his retirement, Emery worked at K-mart as a custodian and drove tractor for Vernon. Emery liked to fish and to deer hunt on his free time.
   

He is survived by his son Vernon (Ruth); grandsons Scott (Melissa), Sidney (Denise), Sheldon (Michelle) and Shannon; great grandchildren Chris, Cody, Michael, Matthew, Randal, Justin, Jacob, Jesse and Anna; great-great grandchildren Kaylee Mae and Mckenzie Marie; and his sister Elna Yeager.
 
Preceded Emery in death are his parents, his wife Sena and brothers Vian, Harvey, Jesse and Stanley; sisters, Velma and Fern.
 
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Rock Creek Lutheran Church with Pastor Dale Horner Jr. officiating.
 
Visitation will be Wednesday May 25, 2011 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Fuller Speckien Hulke Funeral Home (3209 Rudolph Rd., Eau 
Claire, WI 54701) and from 10 a.m. until time of service on Thursday at the church. Burial will be in the Rock Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery.
