Elliana Jo Johnson, 9 months, daughter of Nate and Jess Johnson of Eau Claire, passed away in the loving arms of her mother with her father laying his protective hands over her tiny body at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota on Sunday, June 26, 2011.

Elli was born on September 13, 2010 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. She was welcomed home with love by her two year old twin sisters, Adalyn and Alivia. Elli was a beautiful baby who brought so much joy to everyone who met her. She was such an easy baby with the best temperament. Her smile was spectacular, her big blue eyes were captivating, and her laugh was contagious. She recently learned how to crawl and loved chasing the cat around the house saying “kitty.” She also enjoyed watching her twin sisters play, being tickled by her daddy and being cuddled by her mommy.

In addition to her parents and her twin sisters, she will be dearly missed by her maternal grandparents Glenn and Karen Linzmeier of Marshfield, her paternal grandparents Mick and Fran Johnson of Baraboo, aunts and uncles Jason (Chelsea) Linzmeier of Sun Prairie, Teresa (Dave) Knop of Stoughton, and Dean Johnson of Rapid City, SD, cousins Michael, Morgan, Madison and Evan, two great-grandmothers JoAnn Goes of Marshfield and Daphne Johnson of Eagle Grove, IA, and many great-aunts and uncles.

Visitation will take place at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Rd, Eau Claire, WI 54701 on Thursday, June 30, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Services will be held at St. Olaf Catholic Church on Friday, July 1 at 10:30 a.m. Father Brian Konopa will be officiating. There will be no visitation time prior to the services at the church Friday morning. Burial will take place in Marshfield at a later date.

In honor of Elli’s fascination with kitties, donations can be made in her name to the Humane Society of your choice.

Elli’s parents would like to express their sincere thanks to the entire staff of Sacred Heart Hospital and to the PICU staff at Children’s Hospital for the wonderful care provided to her.

Daddy please don’t look so sad

Mommy please don’t cry

I’m in the arms of Jesus

And He sings me lullabies

Please don’t try to question God

Don’t think He is unkind

Don’t think He sent me to you

And that He changed His mind

You see, I am special

And I’m needed up above

I’m the special child you gave Him

The product of your love

I’ll always be there with you

So watch the sky at night

Find the brightest star that’s gleaming

That’s my halo’s brilliant light

So daddy please don’t look so sad

Mommy please don’t cry

I’m in the arms of Jesus

And He sings me lullabies
